Application Guide
26RFP-26-09RHT-007 seeks a South Dakota-based organization to develop, implement, host, and maintain Rural Health Forward — a statewide digital training and resource hub providing evidence-based training modules and continuing education/CME courses for rural healthcare professionals across South Dakota. This is Initiative 4 (Rural Health Forward Training and Resource Hub), with a 5-year total of $4.73 million.
Rural Health Forward is not a clinical services program — it is an educational technology and continuing education infrastructure project. The host organization will build and operate an online platform that serves rural CAHs, clinics, FQHCs, long-term care facilities, universities, and technical colleges by providing accessible CME, clinical training, and professional development resources designed specifically for rural healthcare settings.
SD-based requirement is a hard constraint. Organizations headquartered outside South Dakota cannot serve as the lead applicant for this solicitation. If you are based outside South Dakota, identify a SD-based partner to serve as lead applicant and position your organization as a development or content partner.
Application deadline: April 18, 2026. Must be SD-based organization — hard eligibility requirement. Solicitation event ID: 26RFP-26-09RHT-007; Posted: March 2, 2026. Initiative: Initiative 4 — Rural Health Forward Training and Resource Hub ($4.73M 5-year). Dollar amount: Not disclosed (see full RFP).
